The single European currency approached the level of 35 hryvnia per euro
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on January 5, 2021 fixed the exchange rate of the euro at 34.93 hryvnia per euro. This is 20 kopecks more compared to the previous banking day.
This is evidenced by the data on the regulator’s website.
The official euro exchange rate for December 30 is set at the following level: 34.9389 hryvnia per euro (+0.1993 hryvnia). At the same time, the exchange rate of the euro as of January 4 is 34.7396 hryvnia per euro.

Thus, the euro rate rose to a maximum in almost three years. The rate was highest only on January 30, 2018: 34.96 hryvnia per euro.

Interbank
On the interbank market, the exchange rate of the euro for sale rose 15 kopecks to 34.96 hryvnias per euro. The purchase rate is 34.94 hryvnia per euro.
Recall that the official rate of the euro against the hryvnia, set daily by the NBU, increased by 31.5% during 2020 (from 26,422 hryvnia to the euro as of December 31, 2019).
