The dollar has risen in price by less than 1 cent
On May 12, 2020, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) set the official rate at 26.81 hryvnias per dollar, which is less than 1 kopeck more compared to the previous bank day. This is evidenced by the data on the regulator’s website.
The official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar as of May 12 is set at this level: 26.8196 hryvnias for 1 dollar (+0.0011 UAH). At the same time, the exchange rate of the dollar on May 8 is 26.8185 hryvnias for 1 dollar.

Recall, May 8, the interbank foreign exchange market opened with a slight increase in the dollar. For sale, compared to the close of the previous session, it increased by 0.5 kopecks to 26.8250 hryvnias per dollar, the purchase rate to 26.8000 hryvnias per dollar. The euro for sale increased 16 cents to 29.06 hryvnia per euro.
Taking into account the offers in the interbank market, the National Bank established a benchmark rate at 26.81 UAH / dollar on May 8, lowering it compared to May 7 (26.82 UAH).
At the same time, on May 8, at the Ukrainian exchange offices, the dollar for sale compared to the previous business day fell 4 kopecks to 27.03 hryvnias per dollar, the euro fell 1 kopeck to 29.29 hryvnias per euro.
In the cash market, the average purchase rate in dollars is 26.75 (May 26.79 – May 7), sales – 27.03 (27.07 – May 7) UAH per dollar. The average purchase rate for the euro is 28.73 (May 28.73 – May 7), sales – 29.21 (May 29.22 – 7) UAH per euro. The average purchase rate of the ruble is 3.19 (3.19 – May 7), sales of 3.67 (3.67 – May 7) UAH for 10 rubles.
