Remember that the Netherlands has introduced a ban on passenger air travel from the UK due to a new strain of coronavirus. The same ban is already in force in Belgium and Italy. The World Health Organization announced on December 20 that a variant of the coronavirus, similar to the British one, has also been found in the Netherlands, Denmark and Australia. A similar mutation of the virus, identified in South Africa, was previously reported. There is no reason to believe that the new variant of the virus may be less sensitive to the immunity formed by currently available vaccines.
