The economic situation has slightly improved
In ten months, the Ukrainian economy fell by 5.2%, but in recent months it has been growing.
At the end of October, the decline of the Ukrainian economy slowed to 5.2% from 5.5% the previous month, according to a review by the Ministry of Economy.
According to the January-October results, the reduction in the composite index of production of goods and services by main types of economic activity (CER) slowed down and amounted to 6% (6.2% in 9 months).
“Consequently, the Ministry of Economy estimates the decline in GDP at the level of 5.2%,” says the document.
According to the State Statistics Service, in the third quarter of 2020, the economy contracted 3.5% compared to the same period last year.
The Ministry of Economy expects that in the first quarter of next year, the fall in GDP could reach 3%, but by the end of the year it is expected to grow to 4.6%.
