“The draw is good for Dynamo. You need to know your level “

The distinguished Ukrainian coach Leonid Buryak commented to Sport.ua on the results of the draw for Ukrainian clubs in European competitions.

– Leonid Iosifovich, what do you think of the Champions League draw? The Dynamo caught Barcelona, ​​Juventus and Ferencvaros.

– For the Dynamo, I think the draw is good. The Kiev team has not played in the Champions League for a long time. So I think it will be interesting for the Dynamo players to play at this level and it will be interesting for everyone to see the state of the team and all the players. This lesson must be, and we must find out what level we are at. It is also good for the Kiev club, as perhaps the spectators are already admitted to the stadium at that time. For Dynamo, this is good both financially and otherwise. So I think the draw is very good.

– And the Shakhtar? They caught Real, Inter and Borussia Mönchengladbach.

– For Shakhtar, the draw is also very difficult, but you can play with everyone. And yet you must prepare. In any case, Shakhtar and Dynamo need to improve some components of the game.

– What do you think of Zorya’s draw in the Europa League? Braga, Leicester and AEK are rivals of Lugansk.

– All opponents are strong enough. Leicester is doing well now, and AEK made it to the group round as well. Here, I think, the chances will be 50 to 50. In such a state, which is Zorya, as well as Dynamo and Shakhtar, in principle, you can play with all opponents.

– It turns out that any opponent is difficult for Ukrainian teams:

– Our best clubs stand out: these are Barcelona, ​​Real, Bayern, Manchester City. However, Dynamo used to play on equal terms with teams like Bayern. For example, in European competitions we beat Munich and beat other eminent clubs. For us then everything was a novelty, but nevertheless we played and won. I think it will be a very good lesson for our players, firstly, in terms of self-esteem. These games will give us an idea of ​​what level we are at. The most important thing is that we all understand that this is already a success, that we have reached the Champions League. Of course, this is football and we want our teams to win. But Dynamo and Shakhtar have something to strengthen the game with.

– Will Ronaldo, Messi and Rebrova’s visit to Kiev add excitement to this European Cup campaign?

– Take any group of the Champions League and there any match will be iconic. But the fact that the two best footballers in the world are in Kiev, of course, is good! So I think it’s a very good draw.
