The first deputy head of the Zhytomyr Regional Council, Sergey Kramarenko, became infected with the coronavirus COVID-19. He announced this on his Facebook page on Saturday, May 2.
According to him, the virus was discovered on Thursday.
It was a surprise to me, but I understand that I am in contact with a large number of people from all over the Zhitomir region and Ukraine, so it was almost impossible to protect me, Kramarenko wrote.
He added that health is now normal. The deputy head of the regional council is at home in self-isolation.

Earlier this week, two men, ages 18 and 85, died of COVID-19 in the Zhytomyr region.
