Parliament is offered to maintain the restriction of freedom in the bill on the restoration of criminal responsibility for inaccurate declaration.
The Parliamentary Commission on Law Enforcement Affairs proposes to pass a compromise bill on the restoration of criminal responsibility for inaccurate statements. The bill was considered at a committee meeting on Thursday, December 3.
“The main consensus was established on the option that everyone does not like it, but it is a compromise for the audience, perhaps: that the deliberate introduction by the reporting subject of inaccurate information of 4 thousand living wages (now 9 million hryvnia) is punishable by a fine of 3 to 5000 minimum (from 51 to 85,000 hryvnia) or community service, or restriction of liberty for up to 2 years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions. Such a compromise has been reached “, – he said the head of the committee Denis Monastyrsky.
The compromise option was supported by 16 committee members, 5 abstained, 4 more were absent.
Earlier, the people’s deputy of the people’s servant Olga Sovgirya explained that the rule on imprisonment for inaccurate declaration was ineffective and that the best way to influence would be community service.
The bill is expected to be considered tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the courts have closed almost all misstatement cases.
