At the same time, the mayor of the city Gennady Trukhanov recorded a video against the background of a tanker lying on the final stage of its hoisting and expressed his confidence that the sunken ship will be transported to the port of Chornomorsk in the near future.

Subsequently, the Minister of Infrastructure, Vladislav Krikliy, reacted. He said local politicians in Odessa, who “did nothing to lift the Delfi tanker, are now actively promoting themselves.” He wrote about this on Facebook.

Previously, in November 2019, the Delfi tanker broke anchor due to a heavy storm and ran aground. As a result, three crew members were evacuated. From that moment on, the tanker remained at sea.

Later, on June 21, 2020, fuel began to leak from the sunken tanker off the coast of Odessa.
