The head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group, Leonid Kravchuk, supports the transfer of the negotiations on the Donbass from Minsk to Austria. However, the decision to postpone the negotiations must be made by the OSCE.

Said this in an interview with Strana.

According to Kravchuk, it will be necessary to seek a new international platform for negotiations if the political crisis in Belarus is not resolved, because “it is very difficult to work under such conditions.”

“The decision to postpone (negotiations – ed.) Is taken by the OSCE – as moderator. Here we are talking about an international platform. Consequently, decisions will be made at the international level,” he explained.

We will recall that Kravchuk previously stated that in case of deterioration of the situation in Belarus, the negotiations on Donbass could be transferred to another neutral country.

Note that Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz proposed Vienna as a new mediator in the settlement process in Donbass.

Also, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that it is too early to talk about the transfer of the Minsk TCG negotiations to another country.
