In 2020, the Winemaker and Winemaker’s Day will be celebrated on November 8
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the introduction of another official holiday. The Day of the Winegrower and Winemaker will be celebrated on the second Sunday of November
Zelensky said this during a trip to Transcarpathia.
“Today I signed a decree that establishes an official holiday in Ukraine – the Day of the Winegrower and Winemaker. I know this is important for people who work in this industry,” he said.
The president noted that this is a symbolic step that emphasizes respect for this profession.
“But this is not enough. The government and the corresponding ministry must present a set of measures for the development of viticulture and winemaking in Ukraine,” he added.
In accordance with the presidential decree, which was made public on its official website, the Day of the Winemaker and Winemaker will be celebrated annually on the second Sunday of November. In 2020, they will celebrate on November 8.
Let us remember that on July 1, the Cabinet of Ministers supported the presidential decree on the establishment of the Day of the Winemaker and Winemaker.
