Czech President Milos Zeman compared the riots that took place on Capitol Hill in Washington to the Ukrainian Maidan.

Zeman expressed his opinion in an interview with the Blesk newspaper. He stressed that he has a negative attitude to any revolutionary event.

“I don’t like violent revolutions, so I don’t like the Maidan and something like that, which, as you know, happened in Kiev. And now the Americans have it at home,” said the Czech president.

According to him, the culprit for the deaths of people in the United States is President Donald Trump, who could not accept his defeat in the elections.

“Worse still, he threw thousands of people into battle in front of the Capitol and inside. This indirectly led to the deaths of five people, most of whom were his supporters. This is the cowardice of a politician leaving,” he said Zeman.

He stressed that in the past there were politicians who first inspired hope and then turned into disappointment.

“But I really don’t remember a single American president who had gone in such disgrace,” summed up the Czech politician.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, on January 6, the United States Congress met to officially declare Biden as the country’s new leader based on the electoral vote count. The meeting was interrupted by Trump supporters. Crowds of protesters stormed Congress and pushed through.

During the clashes 4 people died. Among them is USAF veteran Ashley Babbitt. They shot him point-blank.
