Konstantin Bryl was accused of declaring false information

Konstantin Bryl’s case was closed on the basis of the Constitutional Court decision, according to which the article on inaccurate declaration was canceled.

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) closed the case against the former head of the Zaporozhye Regional State Administration, Konstantin Bryl, accused of declaring false information. It was informed by the Anticorruption Center on Monday, November 2.

According to NABU, Bryl did not indicate in his statement four Mercedes cars and a Land Rover, two stands (a place to park boats) in Crimea, parking spaces, apartments and land.

In addition, detectives found that with an annual income of $ 10,000, Bryl and his family visited foreign countries several times a year: Greece, Italy, Turkey, France, Israel, and stayed there in expensive hotels.

The CPC notes that VAKS has no other choice: such cases are condemned due to the Constitutional Court’s decision, since the recognition of unconstitutional criminal responsibility for such actions automatically means the closure of the cases.

This information was confirmed in comments to LIGA.net by VAKS press secretary Olesya Chemeris.

“The case was closed based on the latest decision of the Constitutional Court, according to which article 366-1 (inaccurate declaration) of the Penal Code was canceled,” he said.

Let us remind you that last week the judges of the Constitutional Court in closed session declared criminal responsibility for inaccurate declaration unconstitutional, which caused a great political and public outcry.
