The court chose a measure of restraint for the people's deputy Yurchenko

Previously, Alexander Yurchenko was expelled from the Servant of the People faction.

An appeal against a court decision can be filed with the VAKS Court of Appeals within five days.

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) has opted for a restraint measure in the form of arrest with an alternative to bail in the amount of more than 3 million hryvnias for the alleged bribery of MP Oleksandr Yurchenko. Interfax-Ukraine reports on this on Monday, September 21.

“The detective’s request is partially satisfied. Request the suspect Yurchenko … a preventive measure in the form of detention until 9.11 as part of the pre-trial investigation. Detain the suspect Yurchenko … in the courtroom. Determine the bail of the suspect … in the amount of 3 million UAH 1 thousand 656 “, – says the court ruling.

In the case of a deposit, Yurchenko will be assigned the following duties: use a means of electronic control, come to the first call from the detective, notify about a change of place of residence and work, present documents for travel abroad.

The judge read the operative part of the ruling. An appeal against the court’s decision can be filed with the WACS Court of Appeals within five days.

As reported, People’s Deputy Yurchenko is suspected of receiving illegal profits and incitement to bribery. He was expelled from the Servant of the People faction.

Today Yurchenko went to the court session to choose him as a preventive measure. The popular deputy announced that he would not admit the charges against him.

Earlier, Yurchenko’s assistant, Ivan Fischenko, was arrested in this case. But the next day, he deposited 1.5 million hryvnia and was released on bail.
