The former popular deputy “goes to jail” without the possibility of paying bail. He denies all the charges and asks for help for his family.

In Kiev, the Pechersky District Court, at its meeting on Friday, March 26, chose a measure of restraint for the former people’s deputy Semyon Semenchenko: arrest without the possibility of paying bail. He is suspected of being involved in the creation of an illegal paramilitary armed group.

“The court has just made the decision to send me to jail,” Semenchenko himself said in a video he posted on Facebook.

He considers his arrest to be a “provocation by the special services of the Russian Federation”, which wants to stop the work of an organization that fought against PMC Wagner abroad.

“She (Russia, – ed.) Wants volunteers to be slandered and to be behind bars,” said the former people’s deputy.

On his social network page, he wrote that he “goes to jail and denies all charges against him.” Semenchenko also asked to help his family.

We will recall, on March 26, Semyon Semenchenko received suspicions from the SBU in the case of the creation of a “PMC”.

Before that, on March 24, the SBU announced the exposure of an armed paramilitary formation in Ukraine, which included more than 150 people. Later, they were accused of creating a “PMC” Semenchenko and an “independent agent of NABU” Yevgeny Shevchenko.
