The Council of Ministers approved the indexation of pensions by 11% as of March 1

On Monday February 22, the government approved the decree “On additional social protection measures for pensioners in 2021”. According to the document, in 2021, the indexation of pensions will take place from March 1.

“The indicator of increase in the size of pensions, calculated from the salary and insurance experience of each pensioner, was approved at the 11% level, which corresponds to 50 percent of the growth in consumer prices of the previous year and at 50 percent of the growth of the median salary (income) in Ukraine, from which the insurance was paid Contributions for the three calendar years before the year in which the increase is made compared to the three calendar years before the year prior to the year in which the increase is made ”, says the entry.

Pensions are expected to increase for eight million people. On average, the size of the pension will increase by 308 hryvnia. The minimum increase is set at 100 UAH.

In addition, the minimum pension payment will be increased to the level of 2,200 UAH for people with long-term insurance experience (30 years for women and 35 years for men).
