During the last day, 10,681 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Ukraine. Among them, 420 children and 391 health workers were infected.
This was announced by the Minister of Health, Maxim Stepanov.
Most of the new cases were detected in the Kiev (+921), Zaporozhye (+868), Kharkov (+713), Odessa (+692) and Kiev (+692) regions.
In total, 44,505 tests were performed for COVID-19 per day. Of these, 36,000 by PCR and 8505 by ELISA.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 535,857 cases of infection have already been registered in the country. 9,603 (+95) people died from coronavirus, 241,444 (+2633) recovered. 294,413 patients remain active patients.
Recall, yesterday it was known that the Minister of Health, Maxim Stepanov, was infected with the coronavirus. He’s in self-isolation.
Also RBC-Ukraine wrote that the weekend quarantine began in the country yesterday. Government restrictions will be in effect until 00:00 on Monday. In particular, the work of cinemas and cultural institutions will be prohibited.
At the same time, local authorities in some cities refused to comply with the conditions of the weekend quarantine. President Volodymyr Zelensky relates these actions to the second round of local elections.
