During the last day, 11,057 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 500 thousand people have already been infected.
This was announced by the Minister of Health, Maxim Stepanov.
Most of the new cases were confirmed in the Kiev (931), Zaporozhye (799), Kiev (700), Odessa (663) and Poltava (624) regions. At the same time, a new anti-registration of COVID-19 was recorded per day; prior to that, most cases were detected on November 7 (10,746).
In total, 77,149 coronavirus tests were performed per day. Of these, by PCR – 46 933, by ELISA – 30 216.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 500 865 people have already been infected, 9 145 (+198) died, 227 694 (+6 235) recovered.
Earlier, Stepanov said that the period of high incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine will last until April.
However, he added that the medical system needs a lockdown for at least three weeks.
We will remember that yesterday the Ukrainian government canceled the quarantine zones in the country and also introduced a weekend quarantine.
RBC-Ukraine also wrote that Ukraine could receive a COVID-19 vaccine starting in 2021.
