The Constitutional Court of Ukraine recorded a statement of the deputies on the resignation of its judges

The statement was presented by the deputies of the Rada led by David Arakhamia. It was registered with the CCU Secretariat.

The Constitutional Court recorded a statement from the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, calling for the resignation of 11 judges of the Constitutional Court. This was reported by the court’s press service on Wednesday, November 4.

“Today, November 4, 2020, the chairman of the parliamentary faction of the Servant of the People party, David Arakhamia, with the People’s Deputies of Ukraine addressed the Constitutional Court of Ukraine with a statement. The document was registered and accepted for its consideration in the Secretariat of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, “the statement said.

It was previously reported that the parliament is considering two options to get out of the situation: “soft” – a bill for the immediate return of statements and “hard” – the option proposed by the president.

We recall, at the end of October, that Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on the restoration of public confidence in constitutional procedures, described as “urgent”. The president asked that the decision of the Constitutional Court of October 27 be recognized “null and void” and in such a way that it was done under conditions of a real conflict of interest.
