Tomorrow, January 15, on the stage of the Biathlon World Cup in Germany, the men’s relay will be played in Oberhof. The start is at 15:30 Kiev time.

The Ukraine team will take the baton with the following composition: Artem Tishchenko, Dmitry Pidruchny, Anton Dudchenko, Artem Prima.

The choice of the squad was commented on by the head coach of the Ukrainian team Yurai Sanitra:

“Ruslan Tkalenko is the weakest on the team now. I wanted to see him race so I didn’t send him to the IBU Cup, but his condition is not like running the relay. So he had no choice: he had to determine the composition from the four available. I followed the IBU Cup, where Bogdan Tsymbal has a hot streak, but it is impossible to bring him back so fast.

We had two options for composition. In addition to the chosen one, there was a choice with Tishchenko in the third stage and Dudchenko in the fourth. But the option Tishchenko – Pidruchny – Dudchenko – Prima suited us better.

Artem Prima hadn’t finished in relays with me yet; this lineup is new. I have said since the beginning of the season that we will try various options in relay races. This outing will be a test for me, how to choose the right squad for the World Championship relay ”.

Earlier, Pidruchny secured his participation in the outing of Sunday mass in Oberhof.
