Health Minister Maxim Stepanov described the condition under which the ministry will require the government to introduce a stricter quarantine in Ukraine. Closure will be required when 30,000 patients are registered daily.
He said it on the air of the Inter TV channel.
As the minister explained, when such a number of patients is registered every day in Ukraine, the medical system will not withstand the load and will be blocked.
“For us, the main thing is the number of people who are hospitalized. If we talk about the percentage of patients admitted to the hospital, I think this is already in the order of more than 30 thousand per day in a given period, then this can cause serious problems with the loading of the medical system. ” – he is stressed.
Note that Stepanov previously said that I can return the strict quarantine when 20 thousand new coronavirus patients will be registered every day. Another condition for the introduction of the confinement, called for the total occupation of hospital beds.
We will recall, before that, that President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that a blockade can be introduced with 9.5 thousand patients daily. He stressed that this would be a critical burden on the medical system.
Furthermore, today a representative of the Office of the President did not rule out the introduction of a total blockade in Ukraine. The restrictions may increase if Ukrainians do not comply with the weekend quarantine.
We add that in Ukraine, for the first time, more than 14 thousand cases of coronavirus were registered per day. 1,728 Ukrainians were hospitalized per day with COVID-19.
