Odessa authorities have changed their minds to boycott the weekend quarantine. Today, the municipal commission for industrial and environmental safety and emergencies decided to introduce restrictions proposed by the government.

This is reported by the Odessa City Council.

According to a city council representative, Odessa will be in the “orange zone” and on weekends the city will have a weekend quarantine.

We also remind them of the need to comply with the mask regime in public places and transport ”, stressed the city council.

In addition, the city executive committee instructed the police, the National Guard and the State Food and Consumer Service to monitor compliance with the restrictions imposed by institutions and citizens.

The weekend quarantine will operate from 00:00 hours on Saturday to 00:00 hours on Monday.

It should be noted that during the weekend quarantine, the work of catering establishments is prohibited, except in the take-out or delivery mode, the operation of shopping and entertainment centers and industrial product stores. It will remain open, in particular, grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations and service stations.

We will recall that last weekend Odessa refused to introduce the weekend quarantine. The city council did not explain what motivated the refusal to comply with the Cabinet decision.

We add that in the material of RBC-Ukraine you can find out how the quarantine of the first weekend took place in the cities of Ukraine.
