Anatoly Gunko, a candidate of the Servant of the People, was elected the people’s deputy of Ukraine in the by-elections in the 208th district, the Central Election Commission reported. Former People’s Deputy Leader of the Radical Party Oleg Lyashko took second place.

The victory in the by-elections to Verkhovna Rada in district 208 (Chernihiv region) was won by the candidate of the People’s Servant, Anatoly Gunko. On November 9, the Central Election Commission of Ukraine officially announced it.

“Anatoly Grigorievich Gunko was elected people’s deputy of Ukraine, 1976, higher education, director of Gildiya Prava LLC, lives in the city of Brovary, Brovary district, Kiev region, no party, the subject of the nomination is the political party Servant of the People, 21,245 voters voted for him which is almost 33% of the number of voters who participated in the vote ”, – he said in the message.

The decision was made on the basis of the updated protocol of the territorial electoral commission.

The CEC stated that it could not publish the results of the by-elections, since the results of the vote were challenged in the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal. According to Opendatabot, the applicant is a candidate for popular deputy, leader of the Radical Party Oleg Lyashko.

Immediately after the voting ended, Gunko said that he won the election by 1,442 votes.

The CEC website says that Gunko received 34.10% of the votes, Lyashko – 31.78% (19,799 votes).

By-elections in district 208 were held simultaneously with local elections in Ukraine on October 25. The vote was carried out in connection with the death of the people’s deputy Valery Davydenko, who was elected in this district in 2019.
