The elections are complicated by the new legislation and the administrative-territorial structure, as well as by the coronavirus epidemic.

Local elections are among the most difficult in Ukraine’s history due to a number of circumstances. This was stated by the head of the Central Election Commission, Oleg Didenko, in a briefing on Sunday, October 25.

“In general, these are one of the most difficult elections or the most difficult in the history of Ukraine, because we have coincided several factors. This electoral legislation and the reform of the territorial administrative structure were carried out, which led to the majority of the elections are the first elections. ” – said Didenko.

We will recall that earlier in Kiev and in the Dnipropetrovsk region “carousels” of voters were registered. Two buses were carrying people to vote from the Dnipropetrovsk region to the capital, they were stopped by the police.

It was also reported that four polling stations have not been opened in Ukraine. Polling stations were not open at 10 am. The reasons are unknown. The plots are located in the Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr and Poltava regions.
