The highest turnout in local elections on November 22 at 1:00 p.m. was in Slavyansk, Donetsk region – 18.14%. There, a local community organization launched an iPhone 12 giveaway among those photographed near the polls.
At 1:00 p.m. on November 22, turnout in the mayoral elections in 11 Ukrainian cities was 12.70%. This was reported by the press service of the Central Electoral Commission on Facebook.
“If we compare it with the repeated vote last week, turnout increased by almost 2%. At 1:00 pm on November 15, turnout was 10.78%,” the CEC said.
The largest share was registered in Slavyansk, Donetsk region: 18.14%. There, a local community organization launched an iPhone 12 giveaway among those photographed near the polls.
Participation in the other 10 cities is as follows:
- Dnieper: 13.24%;
- Nikopol (Dnipropetrovsk region) – 12.91%;
- Lviv – 12.89%;
- Berdyansk (Zaporozhye region) – 12.38%;
- Exactly – 12.35%;
- Nikolaev – 12.26%;
- Uzhhorod – 12.19%;
- Cherkasy: 11.59%;
- Drohobych (Lviv region) – 11.46%;
- Poltava – 11.15%.
On October 25, local elections were held throughout Ukraine, with the exception of annexed Crimea and the occupied areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The citizens of Ukraine elected city, village and municipal heads, as well as deputies from regional, district, city, village and village councils. The elections were held for the first time in accordance with the new Electoral Code, according to the proportional system with open lists.
According to the CEC, electoral participation in the first round was 36.88%, in the second – 24%.
