Svyatoshinsky District Court of Kiev has announced the international wanted list of former special forces soldiers “Berkut”. Three people are wanted.
Reported by RBK-Ukraine correspondent.
Five former Berkut combatants are accused of shooting 48 Euromaidan activists: Sergei Tamtura, Alexander Marinchenko, Pavel Abroskin, Sergei Zinchenko and Oleg Yanishevsky.
They were released in late December 2019 to participate in the prisoner exchange as part of the agreements between the presidents of Ukraine and Russia.
“Berkutovtsy” Tamtura and Marinchenko returned to the controlled territory of Ukraine on February 8, 2020, while all the other defendants remained in occupied Donetsk.
The prosecution says that it is highly likely that Yanishevsky, Zinchenko and Abroskin are no longer in the occupied Donbass territories.
“According to the prosecution, they are on the territory of Russia”, – said the prosecutor Igor Zemskov.
Due to the fact that the Berkutovites evade the court, the prosecution asked to declare them wanted. The jury granted this motion and suspended consideration of the case against Yanishevsky, Zinchenko and Abroskin pending their search. The trial will continue on November 25.
Let us remind you that the court refused to place Marinchenko and Tamtura under house arrest.
As RBC-Ukraine wrote, previously in Kiev, consideration of the case of the executions on the Maidan was unblocked.
