Ukraine plans to introduce other types of fines during quarantine
The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to introduce administrative liability for violation of the self-isolation regime. It is proposed to amend the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The corresponding decision was made at a government meeting on December 23, which was broadcast on YouTube.
The bill proposes to complement article 44 of the Code with the third part of the following content:
“Violation by a person of the mandatory self-isolation procedure, observation, introduced in the decision on the introduction of quarantine, if this did not lead to the spread of a particularly dangerous disease, entails the imposition of a fine of two hundred to five hundred minimum non-taxable income of citizens “.
That is, violators who do not comply with the quarantine requirements will be forced to pay from 3,400 hryvnia to 8,500 hryvnia.
Let us remember that since November 21, the country has tightened the punishment for those who do not wear a mask. The fine is 170 hryvnia to 255 hryvnia for staying in public institutions and transport without protective equipment.
Note that now in Ukraine the incidence of COVID-19 continues to decline. On Tuesday, December 23, this indicator was at 378.9, while the norm was 40.
