The Cabinet of Ministers awaits the next tranche of the IMF in February-March 2021
The government says it is setting realistic terms, but does not rule out “surprises.” While the exact date is being discussed with the IMF.
Ukraine will receive the next tranche from the IMF no later than 2021. This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on the air of Big Online Conversation NV on Thursday 17 December.
According to the prime minister, the end of winter – the beginning of spring are realistic terms, if there are no “surprises” again.
“The next tranche will definitely be next year, of course, this year is impossible … The mission (IMF – ed.) Must be named, we have gone through all the procedures … If we are talking about a predictable future then I would like to have (tranche – Ed.) by February at the latest, but February-March are the forecasts that we are discussing with the IMF, “Shmygal said.
Recall that previously the Ministry of Finance announced the conditions of the EU loan for 600 million euros. The loan will be attracted to 0.125% maturing in June 2035. The real amount of the tranche amounted to 623.5 million euros.
