During eight months of this year the amount planned for the implementation of the program was practically not used, so the money was transferred to another need, and next year the project for the diagnosis of oncological diseases will be implemented.

The government explained why the money from the cancer diagnosis program was redirected to the construction of roads in the Lviv region. It is observed that the redistribution will allow the implementation of the unfinished project next year. This was announced on Tuesday, October 27, according to the government press service.

“Decision of the Interdepartmental Commission of State Investment Projects on the redistribution of funds for the project Improvement of molecular genetic diagnosis of oncological diseases in Ukraine allows to ensure its full implementation next year “, – said in the message.

It is noted that the government supported the Commission’s decision on the reallocation of funds with the need to anticipate these funds for the completion of this project in 2021.

To this end, the Ministry of Economy has introduced a decree that will guarantee the implementation of this decision next year. The redistribution decision will be approved by the budget committee.

In addition, we note that the Commission’s decision on redistribution was made on the basis of monitoring the implementation of the project in 2020 (the amount of funds used for 8 months of this year is 0.4%) and the impossibility of implementing this project in 2020, said the Cabinet of Ministers.

They also noted that all decisions on the redistribution of funds are made by an interdepartmental commission for public investment projects, consisting of 8 members of the government and 17 people’s deputies, members of the Committee on Budgetary Affairs of Verkhovna Rada.

Remember, today the media reported that the Cabinet gave money for the path of the program for cancer patients.

Earlier, the head of the Servants of the People parliamentary faction, David Arakhamia, explained why money from the COVID Fund was being spent on roads.
