In the Russian Federation, on the territory of a military unit in Pskov, a 30-mm cannon was accidentally fired. One of the projectiles hit the mall building.

The incident is reported to have occurred during the maintenance of equipment and weapons in the military vehicle fleet. At the same time, the military only confirms that a target without explosives fell on the outskirts of the city on a non-residential building.
No one was injured as a result of the incident. According to the REN television channel, the military fired a shot from the barrel of the BMD-4 combat landing vehicle and the projectile hit the roof of the Fjord Plaza shopping center. Media reported that the projectile pierced the ceiling and 300 people were evacuated from the mall.
We will recall, earlier, the United States asked Russia to stop the aggression in the context of the worsening situation in Donbass. The statement was made public after the militants captured a Ukrainian soldier. Thanks to negotiations in the Trilateral Contact Group, he was released and handed over to the Ukrainian side.
