During 10 months of 2020, about 2.5 million hryvnias were spent to pay the salary of a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, and the average remuneration of a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine is 254 thousand hryvnias per month. The KSU press service reports.

It is noted that the costs of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine are not only the remuneration of judges, but also the costs of providing organizational, analytical, legal, informational and logistical support, that is, the exercise of constitutional jurisdiction in Ukraine.

The state budget for 2020 provides for the funding of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in the amount of 314.5 million UAH, but this amount cannot simply be divided into 15 judges.

In accordance with art. 30 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Constitutional Court of Ukraine”, the judge of the Constitutional Court has two scientific consultants and an assistant, whose positions are related to posts of the patronage service. The opposite is not foreseen, just as the car fleet is not provided. An official car is assigned to the judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.

The court noted that despite all attempts to discredit the Constitutional Court and destroy its authority, there is an objective evaluation of the work of the Constitutional Court by society.

In particular, on November 10, 2020, a study was published by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center from October 30 to November 5, 2020, in which citizens of Ukraine evaluated the work of state authorities. The survey data shows that trust in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine is higher than in other state institutions, including the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.

“We emphasize once again that the Constitutional Court of Ukraine is in favor of the fight against corruption, for the creation of a democratic state governed by the rule of law. At the same time, this should take place only within the framework of the Law Fundamental of Ukraine, “the court noted.
