On September 30, Armenia published a new list of soldiers killed in Nagorno-Karabakh. The agency “Sputnik Armenia” reported this.

There are 23 names on the list, including the downed Su-25 pilot.

“Therefore, the losses of the Armenian forces have already amounted to 103,” the agency writes.

Azerbaijan announced on the morning of September 30 the death and injury of 2,300 Armenian soldiers and numerous losses of military equipment. In Armenia, they replied that Azerbaijan mistook the number of its own losses in a day of hostilities.

On September 27, large-scale hostilities began in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Armenian Foreign Ministry reported on the bombing of settlements, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry accused Armenia of “large-scale provocation” and bombardment of the Azerbaijani army positions. Azerbaijan announced the civilians killed and injured as a result of the shelling from Armenia.

Russia asked Turkey and other countries to convince Azerbaijan and Armenia return to a peaceful settlement.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan said on September 29 that the countries are not ready for negotiations on the resolution of the aggravated conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.

In 1991, with the support of Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh declared its independence from Azerbaijan. This led to hostilities that lasted until 1994. The armed conflict ended with the signing of the Bishkek Protocol on Armistice and Ceasefire, but from time to time armed clashes broke out between the parties. During the conflict, more than 30 thousand people died in the region.
