The Armed Forces of Ukraine introduce changes to the military uniform

The changes eliminated a number of loopholes in the order of wearing military uniforms and made them more attractive and practical.

Changes and new military uniform emblems and berets are being introduced in the Armed Forces. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

The changes were announced at the briefing of the representative of the department for the development and implementation of military symbols of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Igor Nepota.

In particular, for the Airborne Assault Forces, an emblem has been introduced on the neck, which in miniature repeats the image of the sign of the beret: a winged parachute, on which a fiery sword is imposed. The emblems of the Medical Service and the Veterinary Medicine Service have also been modified.

Nepota also said that 4 new emblems have been developed for specialties that previously did not have their own emblems in the rules of use of military uniforms since 2017.

The markings on the radio engineering troop beret and signal corps have been changed so that these markings do not resemble Russian ones.

For them, a circle-shaped beret brand has been developed, in the center of which is a raised image of a circular sight indicator with cross-shaped images of orbits and 4 diagonal rays.

Additionally, the Marines received a beret badge, made in the same style as other similar badges. Until now, they have had a specific beret brand for the Navy’s Special Operations Forces.

Recall that in 2019, the Ministry of Defense completely changed the wardrobe of women in the army.

Ukraine’s airborne troops were also reported to have stopped wearing blue berets. Instead, the uniform wears maroon berets.
