Repair crews resumed work on the station and cold water was supplied to the homes of all Kiev residents.
In connection with the accident at the Desnyanskaya water supply station, Kievvodokanal reduced the pressure on the water supply network of the Kiev districts of Desnyanskiy, Dniprovsky, Darnitsky, Pechersky, Goloseevsky and Solomensky. RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to Kievvodokanal.
In addition to reducing cold water pressure in these areas, Kievvodokanal warned that “a temporary suspension of the cold water supply in these areas is possible.”
It is observed that an emergency occurred at the station as a result of a failure in the transformer substation during the switching of the pumping units.
Subsequently, Kievvodokanal reported that repair crews had completed work to restore the station. Cold water is now supplied to the homes of all the Kievites.
Recall that in late April a huge geyser was formed in the center of Kiev. Water under strong pressure came out of the ground as emergency workers worked on site.
Previously in Kiev, on Getman Street, there was a double fault on the road, traffic was limited due to an accident in the Kievvodokanal engineering networks. In connection with this, traffic jams formed on this street.
