In the United States, the Supreme Court dismissed Texas’ claim for failing to recognize the results of past presidential elections in several key US states.
This was reported by CNN with reference to the court’s decision.
The court said the reason for the rejection of the claim was the absence of grounds for Texas to challenge the election results in four other states.
Texas’ lawsuit in the United States Supreme Court indicated that the states of Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin held elections with violations that violate the country’s constitution, and the rules under which the elections were held allowed the possibility of violations during voting.
More than 20 Republican-ruled states later joined the Texas lawsuit.
Thus, the way is open for the electoral college to vote on the results of the elections (should be held on October 14).
If no surprises occur during these two days, then Biden will be declared the winner of the election.
Let us remember that already more than half of the Republicans in Congress support Trump in the fight to cancel the electoral results.
We also wrote that Joe Biden already announced his election victory and announced a virtual inauguration. However, Trump does not admit defeat and hopes to stay for a second presidential term.
