The attacks came almost two weeks after the murder of Samuel Pati, a history professor at Conflans-Saint-Honorine College. The suspect died during the arrest. French law enforcement officers reported 11 detainees suspected of being involved in the murder of a history teacher.

Macron’s words were criticized by several leaders of Muslim countries, including Turkish President Recep Erdogan. Chechnya chief Ramzan Kadyrov called the French president “the mastermind of terrorism.”
