Anonymous Telegram channels posted a video of the bridge explosion. According to its authors, the bridge connects Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, and the Azerbaijani army could have fired a missile through it.

Several anonymous Telegram channels published on October 2 a video of the explosion of the bridge that, according to its authors, connects Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. Telegram-The WarGonzo channel claims that the images show the Azerbaijani armed forces attack on the bridge over the Akari River.

“The Armed Forces of Azerbaijan are targeting the civil infrastructure and civilian population. The images show how the projectile falls on the Akari river, which links Armenia and Artsakh.” He said in a post on the WarGonzo channel.

The Erkat Telegram channel suggested that the shape of the missiles matches the missiles of the Israeli tactical-operational missile system (OTRK) “Laura”.

Artsakh’s Re: public channel wrote about these types of missiles.

The Military Observer channel also reported that the Azerbaijani Army presumably used the Laura OTRK to destroy the bridge over the Akari River.

In 1991, Nagorno-Karabakh, with the support of Armenia, declared its independence from Azerbaijan. This led to hostilities that lasted until 1994. The armed conflict ended with the signing of the Bishkek Protocol on Armistice and Ceasefire, but from time to time armed clashes broke out between the parties. During the conflict, more than 30 thousand people died in the region. Azerbaijan considers Nagorno-Karabakh as a territory occupied by Armenia.

September 27, 2020 in Nagorno-Karabakh the biggest conflict in recent years broke out… The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry accused Armenia of “large-scale provocation”, bombardment of Azerbaijani army positions and announced the beginning of a “swift counter-offensive”. The Armenian authorities, in turn, declared that the Azerbaijani army had launched an offensive against Nagorno-Karabakh. During the conflict, the parties used tanks, heavy artillery and aircraft.

Turkey has openly declared its support for Azerbaijan in the conflict with Armenia. The country’s president, Recep Erdogan, said that Armenia must leave the occupied territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. Russia called on Turkey and other countries to convince Azerbaijan and Armenia to return to a peaceful settlement.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on September 29 that the countries are not ready for negotiations on the settlement of the conflict.
