There were photos of the tanker Delfi, which was towed to the port of Chernomorsk the day before.
In particular, Infrastructure Minister Vladislav Krikliy posted a photo of a rusty tanker on Facebook.
“Now the elevated tanker has been towed to the Black Sea port and parked in a specially designated area with a skidder,” Krikliy said.
According to him, the tanker will remain there until all the paperwork is completed and the final decision on its future destination is determined.

“Delphi” tanker accident: chronology
- In November 2019, in the Black Sea near Odessa, near Dolphin Beach, the Delfi tanker with three Ukrainians on board crashed.
- As a result of the accident, the coast was contaminated. The shipowner promised to get the tanker off the beach before March 31, then the dates were postponed.
- The last attempts at the end of July ended in failure.
- On July 26, the Odessa Regional State Administration’s commission for energy and fuel safety and emergency situations recognized the situation with Delfi as extraordinary. The shipowner was denied permission to continue work.
- A trilateral agreement was signed between the USPA, Cranship, and Brooklyn-Kiev on August 10, and a series of preparatory work was carried out. Cranship carried out the lifting of the ship and Brooklyn-Kiev financed the deal.
- On August 26, Delphi leveled off.
- On September 1, the Odessa Region Economic Court arrested the ship in the USPA lawsuit.
- On the morning of September 10, the tanker was removed from the Odessa beach and began to transport it to the port of Chornomorsk (Odessa region).
- On the same day, September 10, 2020, the Delphi tanker was delivered to the water area of the port of Chornomorsk. The total amount of losses due to sea pollution amounted to 16.3 thousand dollars.
- The operation to remove the wrecked Delphi tanker, which crashed last fall, from Odessa Beach cost $ 0.5 million.
