Negotiations of the Minsk Trilateral Contact Group are stalled, said the representative of the Ukrainian delegation, journalist Sergei Garmash.
He said this on the air of channel Ukraine 24.

“Work in the TCG today is more than ever at a standstill in the sense that Ukraine insists that it must enter into a dialogue with Russia, and Russia insists that we must enter into a dialogue with the so-called ‘second party’: Donetsk and Lugansk “, – he said.
At the same time, Garmash did not rule out the possibility of a further escalation in the line of contact.
“Gryzlov’s statement, where he accuses Ukraine of provoking an escalation in advance … That is, the escalation will be on the other side, but we are to blame in advance. This suggests that there will be a short term, I hope, aggravation in the short term at the front, to intimidate the Ukrainian leaders and our Western partners, who do not want a military escalation, and force them to come to the negotiating table directly with Donetsk and Lugansk. - Recently, militants in the Donetsk region received permission to open “warning fire” to suppress and destroy enemy firing points.
- The Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group evaluated this statement as a threat of unilateral withdrawal of the Russian Federation from the ceasefire and a threat to interrupt the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
- On March 4, Russian President Dmitry Peskov’s press secretary said the Ukrainian side should continue to support the Minsk accords and expressed “concern” about growing tension on the contact line in Donbas.
