The official website of the Football Association of Ukraine has confirmed information about another coronavirus outbreak in the Ukraine national team. Note that on the eve of departure for Switzerland, all the tests of the players of the Ukrainian team came back negative, but additional information came from the laboratory on Monday morning.
As it turned out, the tests of three players: Eduard Sobol, Evgeny Makarenko and Dmitry Riznyk yesterday had the status of conditionally negative. After further investigation, doctors identified COVID-19. The three players were immediately isolated in their hotel rooms.
Therefore, the celebration of the League of Nations match Switzerland – Ukraine is still in doubt. The decision to host the match will be made by UEFA together with the Swiss authorities. The Ukrainian national team players may have to pass one more test on match day. So far, there is no decision on this.
