Recall, on May 4, Poland launched the construction of the Baltic Pipe. This was announced on national television by the country’s president, Andrzej Duda. He stressed that, as a result, Ukraine will be able to receive gas.
The Baltic Pipe project involves three stages: the connection of the Norwegian and Danish gas transmission systems, the expansion of the Danish infrastructure and the construction of the Baltic Pipe, which will connect Poland and Denmark along the bottom of the Baltic Sea. The pipeline’s planned capacity is 10 billion cubic meters per year. Poland intends to complete construction by October 1, 2022.
The cost of the project exceeds 1,500 million euros, of which almost 267 million are funds from the European Commission.
