In Kiev, police detained a man on suspicion of the murder and dismemberment of a Kiev resident. This was reported by the press service of the Kiev National Police.

The victim, a 73-year-old resident of the capital, who was added to the wanted list late last year as a missing person.
“During the investigation, we identified and detained a man who is reasonably suspected of killing a pensioner. It turned out to be a 37-year-old native of the Donetsk region, who rented a house to the victim. According to one account, he killed the man to take over his home in the future. ” , – said in a message to the police.
With the overwhelming support of the officers of the special police regiment n. 1, the man was arrested in the Kiev region, where he moved after the crime. During the examination of the defendant’s rented premises, law enforcement officers seized the deceased’s belongings.
The detainee was informed of the suspicion of having committed a premeditated murder, the court chose a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest 24 hours a day. The suspect faces up to 15 years in prison.
