“Surkis approached me with a proposal to postpone the match”

Sports Director “Minaya” Mikhail Kopolovets commented on the transfer of the UPL round 4 match against Dynamo Kiev from Uzhgorod to Kiev:

“Ihor Surkis, the president of Dynamo Kiev, approached me with a proposal to play in Kiev on September 26 and already play the second round match in Uzhgorod. This request was motivated by the fact that the Dynamo need to prepare qualitatively for the repeated Champions League showdown with Belgian “Gent”.

As a result, our club management and coach Vasyl Kobin agreed, bearing in mind that we are talking about a team that will represent Ukraine in the Champions League.

Of course, going to Uzhgorod after returning from Belgium would have made it much more difficult for the Dynamo to recover before the reunion with Ghent. Then I called Surkis, told him our decision and said goodbye: “Maybe in time Minaj will find himself in a similar situation, and Dynamo will find us halfway too.”
