Subsidies for the payment of housing and communal services will be assigned under the new regulations. The Social Security Departments will stop the personal reception of citizens as of January 1, 2021.

As Lazebnaya pointed out, the application can be submitted in the local community, by mail or online on the official website or on the Diya application. Social security departments have stopped receiving citizens personally. “This is due to the decentralization reform. Communities have social units that must accept applications from people. This applies to 67 types of benefits. In particular, to subsidies,” Lazebnaya said.
At the same time, nothing changes for the three million people already on the show. “We have automatically reallocated the subsidies entirely to about three million households,” he said.
Expanding the Circle of Grant Recipients
According to Lazebnaya, the government revised the subsidy program three times this year. “The latest decision, which was adopted in December, refers to people who receive partial unemployment benefits. Because there is a condition: a single social contribution must be paid for three months,” said the minister.
You can also get help if someone in the family is caring for a person with a disability. It will be easier to do this also for those who have become unemployed. In fact, now the income of the last month is taken, and not of the six months, as before.
Lazebnaya said citizens who were previously not included in the program can apply at any time.
Subsidies for citizens whose family members work abroad
Ukrainian citizens whose relatives work abroad can receive grants. “We will not pay attention to this position. Because before it was necessary to testify,” Lazebnaya said.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Finance has developed a Methodology for the verification of housing subsidies. The methodology defines the general principles to verify the reliability of the information determined by the legislation for the appointment, accrual and / or payment of housing subsidies to citizens for the payment of housing and community services.
As RBC-Ukraine reported, in the state budget for 2021, the costs of paying housing subsidies to citizens to pay for housing and utilities are provided in the amount of UAH 36.6 billion, which is a 1, 5% less than in 2020.
