The Cabinet of Ministers is preparing measures to introduce a stricter quarantine in Ukraine. The restrictions are developed taking into account the opinion of the local authorities.
This was discussed at a meeting of Prime Minister Denis Shmygal with the mayors of Ukraine’s cities, reports the government website.
According to Shmygal, the government is drawing up a list of possible restrictions, taking into account the responses and suggestions that mayors and heads of the Regional State Administration provided in the survey.
“In particular, the heads of cities and the regional state administration are unanimous in their opinion on the limitation of the activities of discos and nightclubs, catering establishments with leisure activities, hostels for the period of greatest quarantine,” says the message.
In addition, more than 90% support restrictions on the work of holiday fairs, shopping and entertainment centers, restaurants, cinemas and theaters.
We will recall, earlier Shmygal said that restrictions for a new strict quarantine in Ukraine will be announced on December 9. At the same time, there is no date or deadline to tighten the restrictions.
At the same time, Ukrainians are assured that in the event of increased quarantine, public transport will work. According to the prime minister, transportation is not the main source of the active spread of the coronavirus.
