During the strict quarantine in January, Ukraine plans to close schools, restaurants and gyms. At the same time, ski resorts and churches will operate.
This was stated by Ukraine’s chief medical officer, Viktor Lyashko, during a meeting with journalists.
Hotels and ski resorts are supposed to open. Transportation will work as usual. Grocery stores will be open. In churches, a restriction will be introduced: no more than one person for every 5 square meters.
Schools, kindergartens, restaurants will be closed (they will work only for delivery and delivery of orders), gyms and various entertainment venues.
The final decision on quarantine restrictions is due to be made at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on December 9.
Lyashko also said that the Health Ministry is faced with the task of bringing the number of tests for COVID to 100,000 per day, that is, state laboratories and private laboratories that analyze samples taken at a budget expense. Approximately 70% of the tests have been carried out recently by state laboratories and approximately 30% by private laboratories.
Earlier, Lyashko said that the introduction of a lockdown in January would reduce the number of coronavirus infection cases to 6-8,000 a day. The exact date of the introduction of strict quarantine is still unknown.
We recall, in Ukraine once again recovered from the coronavirus, more than new cases of COVID-19 were registered. Almost 15,000 Ukrainians recovered from the coronavirus yesterday.
