The Ministry of Health is developing a plan for the restoration of the SES, assessing the “remnants and disadvantages” of the previously existing structure.
The Ministry of Health intends to restore the sanitary and epidemiological service and turn it into an effective structure, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said. The department head said this on Friday, November 27, on the air of the NASH television channel.
“We are going to restore it (SES). We have relevant projects, now we are working on that. We will definitely do it, we will create an effective structure.” then fix and improve. I am confident that we will make an effective system, even for infectious diseases, which it definitely should be, “Stepanov said.
Let us remember that this is not the first attempt to restore the structure of the Ministry of Health. The resumption of the work of the SES was announced by the former Minister of Health Ilya Yemets.
It was also reported that the NSDC offered the Cabinet to return the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service. It was argued that the revamped SES would not participate in canteen and restaurant inspections.
