The minister insists on a decent salary for doctors
The head of the Ministry of Health reported that during the period of the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine, about 34 thousand medical workers have already resigned.
The minimum wage of Ukrainian medical workers next year will be 22-25 thousand hryvnia. This was announced on Tuesday, November 24, by the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, Maxim Stepanov, on the air of Channel 5.
According to the minister, a living wage is one of the main factors to stop the departure of medical personnel abroad. At the same time, he added that not only all doctors are important to the authorities, but all medical workers.
In addition, Stepanov reported that during the period of the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine, about 34 thousand doctors have already stopped smoking.
“At the moment I do not have precise information on the number of those who quit smoking, but this is around 34 thousand. Sometimes they quit and move to other hospitals, to other medical institutions. Therefore, we will be able to do this analysis of all statistical data when the corresponding year ends “said the head of the Ministry of Health.
Recall that in Lutsk, workers of the regional psychiatric hospital blocked the road due to wage arrears. According to them, they have not received a salary for three months.
