Ukraine’s state budget deficit exceeded 41 billion UAH
This year’s state budget revenue exceeded the previous year’s indicators, but the surplus was replaced by a deficit.
In the first nine months of this year, the revenue of the state budget of Ukraine amounted to 764.8 billion hryvnia. This is 1.5% (11.8 billion hryvnia) less than the plan revised in April. This was announced on Thursday April 1 by the State Treasury Service of Ukraine.
At the same time, state budget revenue from January to September 2020 was 3.3% higher than last year, when it amounted to UAH 740 billion.
So, in September 2020, the state budget revenue amounted to 76.1 billion UAH. This is 15.3% more than the plan and 11.5% more than last year, when they amounted to 68.2 billion hryvnia.
It is also reported that Ukraine’s consolidated budget in January-August this year was executed with a deficit of 15.116 billion UAH compared to a surplus of 35.367 billion UAH for the same period in 2019.
It is noted that the amount of funds in the Single Treasury Account has decreased significantly during the month and, as of October 1, is 21.3 billion hryvnia (a month earlier, 45.7 billion hryvnia).
Earlier, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said that the downturn in the economy was less than expected.
