On September 2, in the village of Kovalevka in the Kiev region, the reconstructed stadium of the local club “Kolos” was inaugurated.
As of now, the capacity of the arena is five thousand spectators (the previous one – 1850). As noted at the club, during the rebuilding, the architects tried to provide the maximum view of the field from anywhere in the arena.
The stadium is illuminated at 1400 lux, ensuring high-quality television images at night. The projectors are located on four 35 meter high masts. The stadium is equipped with everything necessary for high-quality television broadcasts and the operation of the VAR system. A heating system is installed in the field, which allows games to be played at a temperature of -10. In addition, an automatic irrigation system will provide high quality grass.
At Kolos, they convince: the lighting, the heating system, the bass and the midrange area meet UEFA’s international requirements. Thus, the Kovalevsky club will be able to host the qualifying matches of the Europa League and the Champions League.
The stadium has two large 3.84 m by 2.56 m multimedia screens In addition, the stadium is equipped with places for fast food, a club fan shop and two VIP boxes.
The reconstruction took just over a year (413 days). 150 million UAH was spent on the restoration of the stadium. The work was funded by the Svitanok agricultural company.
Recall that after the results of the debut season in the Premier League, Kolos ranked sixth and through the playoffs he won the right to play in the Europa League. On September 17, Kostishin’s team will play at home with the Greek “Aris”. In case of victory, “Kolos” will meet the Croatian “Rijeka”. We add that during the opening of the stadium, the club introduced the newcomers, in particular, an experienced forward Evgeny Seleznev.
