The veteran of the war in Donbass Vladislav Stafiychuk (Vlad Sord), suspected of pogroms in Bankova, admitted that he was convicted of unauthorized abandonment of the military unit (SOCH).
He said it on the air of the program “Right to power” of the television channel “1 + 1” on Thursday, March 25. Therefore, he responded to the question of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Anton Gerashchenko, about the verdict of the Novoaydarsky District Court, which was approved in 2017. He explained that he had written two reports to let him go to his wife for family reasons.
“We had a wedding and we were already going to the sea, but they called me from the unit and told me that they did not sign the reports, although everything was delivered on time. To my wife, because she had the right to spend 10 days with my beloved. I paid for it and I have no regrets, “Stafiychuk said.
Also in the air, he showed Bohdan Khmelnytsky’s order of the third degree, which, according to him, was granted to him. At the same time, Stafiychuk said the book attached to the award was lost.
“It said: ‘Stafiychuk Vladislav’ and a great signature. That’s it,” he added.
From whom exactly the veteran received the award, he said he did not remember.
In turn, the deputy chief of the National Police, Alexander Fatsevich, emphasized that the orders are presented by the president. According to him, as an exception, in 2014, on behalf of the President, the Minister of Defense was able to present the award.
Fatsevich also expressed doubts that it is possible not to remember the person who presented the order. “This will neutralize and discredit all the bearers of the order. I will personally remember all my life who gave me the order and who signed the award,” said the deputy chief of the National Police.
We remember that earlier a scandal broke out around the figure of Stafiychuk on the network. Users questioned his words about participating in the battles for Ilovaisk and the authenticity of his order.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, the veteran was sentenced to 24-hour house arrest in the case of the pogroms on Bankova Street on March 20.
